Thursday, 26 May 2022 (YJC)_ A senior Iranian health official said that there is no trace of Monkeypox in Iran yet.
Head of the human-animal transmissible diseases control group of the Iranian Health Ministry Behzad Amiri said that there is no trace of Monkeypox in Iran yet.
“All suspected cases of monkeypox have turned out to be chickenpox,” he noted and added “suspected cases are carefully studied at healthcare centers.”
According to an update released by the EU's disease agency, confirmed cases of monkeypox worldwide has reached 219 outside of countries where it is endemic.
