Some informed sources reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia intends to explore regional and global issues during a periodic visit to Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Jordan and Egypt.
This is the first time the Saudi Crown Prince has traveled outside the region since the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashgechi at the Saudi consulate in 2018, and he only traveled to Japan in 2019 to attend the G20 summit.
According to Rai Al-Youm newspaper, the sources said that Saudi officials are still considering the times with the countries that the Saudi Crown Prince intends to visit, and that his visit will probably be in early June.
Last month, the Turkish president traveled to Riyadh in a bid to improve relations with Saudi Arabia.
A senior Turkish official also said:
The Saudi Crown Prince has accepted the Turkish president's invitation to Riyadh, and the two sides are working to schedule the trip, which will focus on bilateral trade, regional developments, and investment and energy projects.
