The Sadr faction, led by Muqtada al-Sadr, had previously announced that the Salvation Coalition had submitted a proposal to the parliament to criminalize the normalization of relations or interaction with the Zionist regime.

Informed sources in the Iraqi parliament, meanwhile, say the committee tasked with drafting the law criminalizing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime has completed drafting the law.
