Moscow announced its readiness to welcome Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian president's special envoy to the Middle East and Africa, and Russia's deputy foreign minister, announced that steps were being taken to meet with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

The report comes as a delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) recently traveled to Moscow for "important" talks with Russian officials amid tensions between Tel Aviv and Moscow.

A special source told Safa News Agency that the delegation was headed by Musa Abu Marzouq, the head of Hamas' foreign relations office, and that two senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Fathi Hamad and Hesam Badran, Have accompanied on this journey.

Russian sources reported that members of the Hamas delegation met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Vladimir Putin's special envoy for the Middle East.
