Wednesday, 18 May 2022 (YJC)_ The former secretary general of the NATO alliance and the former Swedish prime minister have written an article calling on the US government to find a way to return to the nuclear deal.
Javier Solana, a prominent European politician who has previously served as Secretary General of the NATO Alliance, High Representative for the Common Security and Foreign Policy of the European Union and Secretary General of the Council of the European Union, co-authored with former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt in the Washington Post They have stressed the need for the United States to return to the JCPOA.
In this article, Solana and Bildt warn that tensions with Tehran will increase if the United States and Western countries fail to return the JCPOA to its original course.
The authors of the article, referring to the approval of a bill on Iran in the Senate, wrote that in this resolution, the senators asked the government to reach an agreement with Iran, which also covers non-nuclear issues.
