Tuesday, 17 May 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry announced that 352 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that 352 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 68 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 352 COVID-19 infections and 6 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases 7,228,786.”
4 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 141,236,” the ministry added.
“4 patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours, increasing the number of the dead to 141,236," the ministry noted.
“768 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 7,024,787 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
51,843,709 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country,” the ministry added and also warned that no cities are rated red or orange, 259 cities are yellow, and 189 cities are blue.
Since the Iranian administration started a mass vaccination campaign, coronavirus figures and deaths show a downward trend.
