Tuesday, 17 May 2022 (YJC)_ During the meeting of the Slovak Deputy Foreign Minister with the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the ways of expanding economic cooperation between the two countries were examined.
Slovakian Deputy Foreign Minister Ingrid Brutkova, who is in Tehran, met with Foreign Ministry Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari yesterday (Monday) to discuss ways to expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy announced his readiness to cooperate with the Slovak side, enumerating Iran's capabilities in the fields of energy, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical and food industries, new technologies and knowledge-based.
He cited the pharmaceutical and medical industries, including the production of corona vaccines, as another area in which the two sides could work together.
Ms. Brutkova also expressed satisfaction with her visit to Iran and expressed hope that an important step would be taken in the development of trade cooperation between the two countries by holding a meeting of the Joint Economic Commission.
