Sunday, 15 May 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian President said that Iran is endeavoring to strengthen unity among Islamic states as a strategy.
In a meeting with Iranian Sunni scholars, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raeesi said that Iran is endeavoring to strengthen unity among Islamic states as a strategy.
Referring to the British and US government attempt to sow discord among Muslims, Iranian President said the country is endeavoring to strengthen unity among Islamic states as a strategy.
“The UK Shiism and US Sunnism are two sides of the same coin that are against the unity of the Muslim world,” he said while warning against the growth of Takfiri groups in the region.
He went on to put emphasis on the importance of the significance of unity of Shiites and Sunnis in Iran and noted that “Sunni compatriots and scholars have a significant place in the history of the country. The Shiites and Sunnis have been living together in Iran for years.”
