US President Joe Biden has avoided answering a reporter's question about the condemnation of the Israeli military's attack on participants in the funeral of Al Jazeera journalist Shirin Abu Aqla.
According to the Anatolian News Agency on Friday night, at a press conference, a reporter asked the US President whether he would condemn the Israeli military's attack on participants in the funeral of an Al-Jazeera reporter.
According to the report, Biden said in response to this question:
I do not know the full details of what happened .. but I know that this needs to be investigated.
Anatoly added that before Biden's press conference, White House spokesman Jane Sacchi said the US government was "deeply concerned" about the violence of Israeli forces at the funeral of Abu Aqeel.
A White House spokesman said:
We regret the attack on what should have been a peaceful funeral. At this critical juncture, we called for respect for this funeral, the mourners and the family of [Abu Aqeel].
