Friday, 13 May 2022 (YJC)_ Amir-Abdollahian called Mora's visit to Tehran another opportunity to focus on initiatives to resolve the remaining issues of the Vienna talks and said: "A good and reliable agreement is available if the United States makes a political decision and adheres to its commitments."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, tweeted today (Friday) referring to the presence of "Enrique Mora", the coordinator of the Vienna talks:
In agreement with Mr. Borrell, Mr. Mora's visit to Tehran and his talks with my colleague Mr. Bagheri were another opportunity to focus on initiatives to resolve the remaining issues of the Vienna talks.
He added:
A good and credible agreement is available if the United States makes a political decision and adheres to its commitments.
The foreign minister reminded that the contacts are continuing.
Enrique Mora, the coordinator of the Vienna talks, came to Tehran for the second time this year after the recent agreement between Borrell and Amir-Abdollahian. Prior to the trip, Khatibzadeh described Mora's specialty as conveying a message, adding:
We have to wait and see what issues he will be in Tehran with.
Mora met with Ali Bagheri, Iran's chief negotiator, on Wednesday and Thursday.
