Hamas calls on Islamic parliaments to criminalize normalization of relations with the Zionist regime
Thursday, 12 May 2022 (YJC)_ Hamas called on all Arab and Islamic parliaments to take similar action after the initial investigation into the criminalization of normalization of relations with the Zionist regime in the Iraqi parliament.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Islamic Jihad Movement this afternoon (Thursday) praised the Iraqi parliament's decision to pass a law criminalizing the normalization of relations.
The Iraqi parliament yesterday initially introduced a draft law banning the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime. According to Iraqi sources, a majority of deputies agree with the approval of the plan.
According to Al-Mayadin, Hamas said today about the plan:
The passage of the law criminalizing the normalization of relations reflects the authenticity of the Iraqi people and their historic and enduring positions in defense of the Palestinian people. We welcome any stance against the normalization of relations with the common enemy of our nation, which threatens the security, stability and capabilities of this nation.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement called on all parliaments in the Arab and Islamic countries to take a step similar to that of Iraq and to pass such laws to ban any normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.
According to the Al-Mayadin network, the Islamic Jihad movement also praised the Iraqi parliament in a statement for criminalizing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime:
