Tuesday, 10 May 2022 (YJC)_ Russia's envoy to the Vienna-based international body has said that Trump's decision to withdraw unilaterally from the UN Security Council has led to instability in the region.

Ulyanov: Trump disrupted regional stability by leaving the JCPOARussia's representative to international organizations based in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, stressed that former US President Donald Trump's decision to leave the JCPOA unilaterally created many problems for multilateral diplomacy.

In a message posted on his Twitter page, he criticized Trump's departure from the JCPOA:
Trump's decision to leave the JCPOA posed many problems for multilateral diplomacy, stability in the region, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, and the humanitarian situation in Iran. These were the important negative consequences of his action. Have the Republicans seen any positive results?

In May 2016, Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the nuclear deal, despite opposition from the international community and Iran's adherence to the terms of the JCPOA, and hoped to force Iran to agree to a Washington-agreed agreement, pursuing a policy of "maximum pressure" against the republic. Islamic Iran took over.

Not only did Trump's policy not work, but Iran took steps to reduce its nuclear commitments after a year of adhering to its commitments and after the other side failed to live up to their commitments to the nuclear deal. However, Iran has repeatedly stressed that it has a completely peaceful nuclear program and does not seek nuclear weapons.
