White House admits: China has not violated Russian sanctions

Tuesday, 10 May 2022 (YJC)_ A White House spokesman said China had not yet violated Russian sanctions, adding that Washington supported peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.

During a daily news conference at the White House, Saki claimed:
As Putin celebrates Victory Day, we see Russian war crimes and killings in Ukraine.

According to American media, he stated in response to Washington's anti-Russian accusations:
Putin is trying to change history and justify a war that has caused great damage and human suffering.

Asked about the possibility of US President Joe Biden's visit to Kiev, a White House spokesman said:
There are currently no plans for Biden to travel to Ukraine.

Referring to the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations to reach a ceasefire agreement, Saki explained:
We support any peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, and our position is to fully support Ukraine.

Asked about statements by some US politicians that China was helping Russia circumvent sanctions, he acknowledged:
We do not believe that China has violated sanctions against Russia.

The US official also added:
We are closely monitoring the implementation of sanctions against Russia and do not believe that China has already violated them.
