Monday, 9 May 2022 (YJC)_ A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry did not confirm the stalemate in the Vienna talks, saying: "The United States is not going to give a gift to Iran, it has lost rights from the Iranian people and taken things from the nation's pockets that must be returned."

Khatibzadeh: The United States has taken things from the pockets of the Iranian people and must return themSaeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, answered reporters' questions this morning (Monday) in a weekly meeting with reporters, explaining the latest developments in foreign policy.

Asked about the visit of Enrique Mora, the EU's deputy foreign policy chief and co-ordinator of the talks in Vienna, he said:
Negotiations between Iran and the P5 + 1 on the one hand and the United States in Vienna have continued uninterrupted to this day. There was a pause in Vienna, but the messages were exchanged through the dialogue coordinator. Mora's trip takes place after a phone call from Amir Abdullahian and Borrell.

A spokesman for the diplomatic corps said:
It was necessary for Borrell to offer and welcome Amir Abdullahian in person. Consultations should be held in Tehran. He will meet with Bagheri. Of course, the agenda of the talks is almost clear in Tehran. We hope to be able to announce the result better after the talks.

This senior diplomat of our country said:
Mora's presence shows that we have continued to pursue the talks in the direction that needs to be done, and have remained committed to diplomacy and reaching a good and credible agreement, despite anti-diplomatic actions by the Iranian Senate and Congress and the P5 + 1. If the United States returns what it took from us and accepts the lost rights of the Iranian people, we can return to Vienna the day after Mora's return. Mora's journey puts these conversations on the right track.

He also spoke about Bashar al-Assad's visit to Tehran:
Bashar al-Assad's trip had been planned for several months and he was ready for this trip and the conditions had to be prepared when he arrived in Tehran yesterday with a high-level delegation. There were two meetings with the President and one in the presence of the Supreme Leader. A meeting was held between Amir Abdullahian and his Syrian counterpart, and a tripartite meeting was held between the two countries' foreign ministers and the Minister of Roads as chairman of the joint commission.

We hope this trip will lay a new foundation for building relationships.

In response to a question from a Fars News Agency reporter about the remarks of Joseph Borrell, the EU foreign policy chief, about the stalemate in the Vienna talks and whether Iran believes that a stalemate has been created in the talks. said:
What happened in Vienna is stopped. After Washington's decisions between Iran and the P5 + 1, a conclusion is reached and the text is agreed between us and what is left is for the United States to respond. The United States is not going to give a gift to Iran. He has lost rights from the Iranian people and taken things from the pockets of the Iranian people and must return them, and if that happens, we can say that negotiations are available. I do not say dead end. Washington's decision could easily reach an agreement in Vienna.
