Cairo worries about Tel Aviv's decision to relocate thousands of PalestiniansIn a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry warned of the dangerous consequences of the displacement of thousands of Palestinians living in the West Bank's "Yafar Yata" area, expressing concern over Israeli officials' decision to demolish a number of Palestinian villages.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry also reiterated its opposition to Tel Aviv's plan to build 400 new Zionist units in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, calling it a clear violation of international law and regulations.

According to Al-Yawm Al-Sabeeh website, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez stressed that Cairo condemns the policy of settlement in the Palestinian territories by building new settlements or expanding settlements, as well as confiscating Palestinian lands and relocating Palestinians.

He stressed that the continuation of such unilateral actions would lead to escalation of tensions and violence and undermine the chances of achieving a two-state solution and the establishment of a comprehensive and just peace in the region.
