In an interview with Al-Akhbar, the head of Hamas' foreign relations bureau, who headed a high-level delegation to Russia, first addressed the purpose of his visit to Moscow, stating that in a meeting with "Russian friends", "many cases and The most important issues discussed were the dangerous provocations in Jerusalem that could lead to major tensions in the region, the Israeli sabotage in the West Bank, the Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip, as well as some important international and regional issues.

Current events on the world stage are moving towards the establishment of new equations in the international system. This is a real opportunity to change the status quo in favor of the oppressed people of the world against the hegemony of the West.
The senior Hamas member also noted the strained relations between Tel Aviv and Moscow following remarks by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
