Thursday, 5 May 2022 (YJC)_ Expressing that cohesion and unity in Iraq has always been emphasized by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President expressed hope that the political process of the recent parliamentary elections in Iraq will end as soon as possible with the formation of a strong and powerful government.
In response to a phone call from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi on Wednesday congratulating the Iraqi government and people on Eid al-Fitr, Seyyed Ibrahim Ra'isi wished the Iraqi people health and security.
Ayatollah Raeisi said:
Cohesion and unity in Iraq has always been emphasized by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and I hope that the political process of the recent parliamentary elections in Iraq will end as soon as possible with the formation of a strong and powerful government.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi also congratulated the Iranian president and people on Eid al-Fitr and thanked Iran for its support of Iraq.
