Sunday, 1 May 2022 (YJC)_ During a meeting with Amir-Abdollahian, the Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister renewed the invitation of his Foreign Minister to his Iranian counterpart to meet bilaterally and attend a meeting of the Oslo Dialogue Forum.
During his visit to Tehran, Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Henrik Toone met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country called the one hundred and fifteen-year history of political relations between Iran and Norway an important support for the relations between the two countries and considered the expansion of political, trade and parliamentary relations between the two countries important.
Amir-Abdollahian considered the participation of Iranians living in Norway in various political, economic and scientific scenes of this country as a valuable asset for strengthening the relations between nations and developing relations between the two countries.
The two sides considered the meeting of the two countries 'political consultations at the level of the two countries' deputy foreign ministries as a good opportunity to promote mutual understanding and interaction between the two countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country further explained the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the developments in Ukraine and the region, including security and stability in the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan, Yemen and Ukraine.
The Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister called the development of diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran one of the important priorities of Norwegian foreign policy in the region.
During the meeting, the Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister renewed his invitation to his Iranian counterpart to meet bilaterally and attend a meeting of the Oslo Dialogue.
Our Foreign Minister reciprocally invited his Norwegian counterpart to visit Tehran.
The Norwegian side also explained its position in welcoming the development of relations between Tehran and Oslo, the developments in Ukraine and Afghanistan.
