He called Lebanon's role in the Arab world important.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib, while congratulating Eid al-Fitr in advance, stressed the importance of developing friendly relations with Iran and expressed hope that the exchange of diplomatic missions between the two countries would expand after the parliamentary elections.
Abdullah Bouhabib strongly condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime in Al-Aqsa Mosque and called for the unity of the Islamic world in support of Palestine and the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The two sides also exchanged views on other issues related to bilateral cooperation and regional and international issues.
