Tuesday, 26 April 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Government Spokesman said that the US maximum pressure policy and sanctions against Iran have failed.
In an article on the anniversary of the US 1980 abortive Operation Eagle Claw, known as Operation Tabas in Iran, Iranian Government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said that the US maximum pressure policy and sanctions against Iran have failed.
In his article, he referred to the sentence once made by the Father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini in which he said “The sands were agents of God” an also to an article that appeared in the Time Magazine on May 5, 1980 and noted “Carter's mission to rescue the hostages goes down in flames”.
Jahromi also noted that “It was the Tabas fiasco which led to Carter’s failure in the second round of the US presidential elections,” brought one of the reasons for the US repeated failures from Iranians as the protection of Iranians by God and names US maximum pressure policy’s failure as an example.
