Monday, 25 April 2022 (YJC)_ An Omani delegation to Sanaa met with Yemeni Ansarullah officials to discuss the future of the ceasefire.

Oman delegation meets with Sanaa government officialsYesterday (Sunday), an Omani diplomatic delegation traveled to Sanaa to discuss the future of the ceasefire and peace in Yemen with Ansar al-Islam movement officials.

According to the Anatolian news agency, a meeting took place between the Omani delegation and Mehdi Al-Mashat, chairman of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council, and with the presence of Mohammed Abdul Salam, chairman of the Sanaa negotiating team.

During the meeting, they discussed issues such as the current developments in Yemen, the conditions and process of political operations, the future of the ceasefire announced by the United Nations, the full implementation of its commitments and the Omani monarchy's efforts to achieve full peace in the country.

Al-Mashat emphasized in this meeting:
We remain committed to the just and near peace that the sons of the Yemeni people want and that will ensure their aspirations for freedom and independence.

The Omani Foreign Ministry announced yesterday (Sunday) that it had been able to release 14 detained foreign soldiers with the consent of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement, despite its mediation efforts in some Yemeni cases.

The Yemeni Ansarullah movement announced last Friday that an Omani delegation had traveled to Sanaa to pursue the ceasefire and held talks with officials from the National Salvation Government. The report does not name the members of the board or their executive responsibilities.
