Moscow's note to Washington: Stop sending weapons to UkraineRussia's ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, confirmed in an interview with Russia-24 that Moscow had sent a note to Washington calling for an end to Kiev's arms supply.

Moscow sent a warning to Washington after the Washington Post reported on Friday that it had obtained a Russian note to the United States regarding arms supplies to the Ukrainians. The newspaper wrote:
Russia sent an official diplomatic note to Washington this week, warning the United States and its allies about the shipment of "most sensitive" weapons systems to Ukraine and the "unprecedented consequences" of such tensions.

The Washington Post reported that at the same time as the Biden administration announced plans to send $ 800 million in new military aid to Ukraine, including Howitzer long-range missiles, coastal drones, armored vehicles, anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons. The United States has also facilitated the deployment of anti-aircraft systems from Slovakia to Ukraine, and in return has deployed Patriot air defense systems in Slovakia.

A senior US government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Washington Post:
What the Russians are telling us privately is exactly what we are publicly telling the world, that the amount of aid we are sending to our Ukrainian partners has been extraordinarily effective.
