23 April 2022_ The office of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, the supreme authority of the Iraqi Shiites, condemned the terrorist attack on Mazar-e-Sharif on Friday.
“The ISIS terrorist group has once again created another horrendous crime in which innocent worshippers in Sedokkan Mosque of Mazar-i-Sharif of Afghanistan were targeted and a large number of them laid in their blood mixed with dust,” reads the statement.
The grand Ayatollah condoled with the bereaved family members of the terrorist attack and prayed to Almighty Allah for granting patience to them and also for the fast recovery of the injured victims.
He has also asked the Muslim brothers and sisters in Afghanistan to beware under the prevailing perilous conditions to prevent the occurrence of similar catastrophes and to cooperate with security and law enforcement forces in ensuring the security of the gatherings.
