Tehran, YJC. Following a terror blast in Sana'a which caused damage to the house of Iran’s ambassador to Yemen on Wednesday, Yemeni charge d'affaires in Tehran was summoned to Foreign Ministry later in the day.
Head the Iranian
Foreign Ministry’s Department of Media Diplomacy conveyed Iran's strong protest
to the Yemeni government over the failure of the government of Sana'a to
efficiently protect diplomatic missions of Iran in Yemen.
The Foreign Ministry
urged the Yemeni government to take decisive action to bring to justice the
terrorists responsible for the attacks.
Iran also
sought assurance from Sana'a government that such acts of terror would never
happen again.
The Yemeni charge d'affaires,
in response, expressed regret over the terrorist attack and said that he would
immediately communicate the Iranian protest and make demands to Sana'a
government.
