Monday, 18 April 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that the recent unfreezing of the country’s assets has nothing to do with the agreement with the US.
In a press conference in Tehran on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said said that the recent unfreezing of the country’s assets has nothing to do with the agreement with the US.
“The recent unfreezing of Iran’s assets in foreign states is not the result of an agreement with the US. US is trying to intervene on any issue which indicates how far it is from the country’s and Biden's claims,” he said.
He went on to add that “A delegation from countries other than US came to Iran with the aim of unfreezing the assets, this has nothing to do with the US agreement.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the pause in Vienna talks, and noted “Iran and US have more than one subject to work on. All elements and components of the maximum pressure must be removed. the final agreement is available only when an agreement on the remaining issues is reached.”
“European Union coordinator, Enrique Mora has the responsibility of exchanging messages between Tehran and Washington.”
