Ali Akbar Velayati, Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, in a telephone call with Ziad Garbage, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, while congratulating the holy month of Ramadan and the great victories of the oppressed Palestinian nation led by Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders, said:
Congratulations on the great victories of the zealous and fighting Palestinian people, and thank God, this valuable set of actions of the Palestinian youth and the zealous people of this divine land has thwarted the conspiracies of the United States, the Zionist regime, the regional reactionaries and their supporters.
He added:
The brave and desperate youth who sacrificed their lives for dear Islam have played a valuable role in this honorable process, and may God unite the souls of the dear Palestinian martyrs with the prophets and saints.
In another part of the conversation, the Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening emphasized:
Your role and that of the Islamic Jihad movement in leading the glorious struggles of the Islamic land of Palestine is appreciated by the Muslims of the world, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will always stand by the oppressed people of Palestine.
Velayati said:
These two valuable Islamic movements guide the Palestinian people within the framework of Islamic teachings and religious values, and the reason for their success is their reliance on Islam, and the intifadas that took place were based on the Islamic ideal that brought the Palestinian people to the forefront. This important component was not possible in the shadow of Islam and the flag you raised, and it must be said that what saved the Iranian people was adherence to Islam, and in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Palestine, Islam is the only school that saves and achieves Ideals and victories.
In this telephone conversation, Ziad Nakhaleh, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, congratulated the Supreme Leader, the great nation of Iran and the province, while congratulating the holy month of Ramadan, while appreciating the strong position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people:
We are at the forefront of defending the Palestinian cause, and we appreciate and thank you for being with us, and for supporting us in this direction.
He further clarified:
The Palestinian people and all our fighters and brothers in Hamas are at the forefront of the fight against Zionism. We could not have achieved this victory without the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and the Iranian people, and we believe that jihad and resistance is the only way to liberate Palestine and the factor that unites all Palestinians.
Velayati also congratulated Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, on the great victories of the Palestinian people led by Ismail Haniyeh in a separate telephone call.
