Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi said reports of a ceasefire between the resistance and the occupying regime were untrue.
According to the Arab 48 website, he said, "We urge everyone not to trust the news published in the Zionist media and to follow the news only from Palestinian sources."
Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed website quoted Egyptian sources as saying that Egyptian intelligence officials contacted Hamas leaders and Israeli officials in an attempt to mediate to prevent the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories from escalating.
According to these sources, an agreement has been reached between the leaders of Hamas and the Zionist regime on calming down the situation and freeing the Palestinians who were detained during the events in Friday in occupied Jerusalem. The sources also claimed that coordination had been made with the Qatari authorities and that all Palestinian detainees, numbering more than 400, would be released today, Saturday.
The sources said that "Mahmoud al-Sisi", the son of the Egyptian president and the person in charge of relations with the Zionist regime, talked to the Zionist officials about the situation in Palestine on Friday (yesterday), especially in the light of the dangers of an explosion in the Gaza Strip.
On Friday (yesterday), at least 150 people were injured during an attack by Zionist forces on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
