In this meeting, Amir-Abdollahian mentioned the strengthening of trade relations with Iraq as one of the important priorities of the two countries and emphasized on facilitating trade exchanges at the border crossings, one-way transportation and the finalization of the Basra-Shalamcheh railway.

The smoothing of pilgrims from the two countries to travel to places of pilgrimage was among the other issues that Amir Abdullahian emphasized in this meeting and also called for facilitating the travel of Iranian pilgrims from the land borders to the holy shrines.

The head of our country's diplomatic service also stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran can not accept that its borders and threats from the United States, the Zionist regime and terrorist and separatist elements will be endangered.

In this meeting, Fouad Hussein called the relations between Iran and Iraq intertwined and mentioned Iran as a loyal neighbor and said: Iraq continues its constructive role in calming the region and trying to strengthen the dialogue element between the countries of the region. he does.

The high-ranking Iraqi diplomat stated during the meeting that the security of Iran and Iraq is interdependent:
Iraq does not allow any threat to its neighbors from its territory.
