Wednesday, 13 April 2022 (YJC)_ A senior member of the Iranian parliament said the country is serious in making progress in space technology.
A senior member of the Energy Commission, Fereidoun Abbasi Davani said the country is serious in making progress in space technology.
The Iranian government is seriously determined to develop space industry and to make the progress in space technology,
“Space technology in Iran has a long history that dates back to the eight years of Holy Defense in Iraq war,” he said while referring to the knowledge and technical know-how of launching a homegrown satellite and said “Noor-2 satellite of the IRGC was successfully launched last year and was placed into the orbit. Although President Raeesi recently took the administration, he is seriously pursuing the development of the country's space technology.”
Also, last night, on the sidelines of his presence in the meeting of the Parliament’s Industries and Mines Commission, Iranian Communications and Information Technology (ICT) Minister Issa Zare’pour announced that the country is going to export space-related services to other states.
Prior to this, in March, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force successfully launched a new reconnaissance satellite named 'Nour-2' into the orbit.
