US President Joe Biden on Tuesday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of committing genocide in Ukraine.
He made the remarks during a speech in Iowa on efforts to counter rising fuel prices over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"Biden said in his speech:
I do everything in my power to reduce prices through executive orders.
He added:
Your family budget, your ability to fill the gas tank, none of which should be linked to a dictator declaring war and committing genocide on the other side of the world.
A few days ago, the US President called for Putin to be tried as a war criminal and said that after the Russian army reported the crime in Ukraine, we would impose more sanctions on Moscow.
Western countries claim that Russian troops committed crimes in the city of Bucha, north of Kiev, while Moscow vehemently denies the allegations.
