Gen. Charles Cooper, commander of the US Navy Central Fleet in Riyadh, met with Fayyaz bin Hamid al-Rawili, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, to discuss issues of common concern.
The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Saudi Armed Forces in Riyadh, and the two sides discussed cooperation between the Saudi and US navies to ensure security and stability in the region, the Saudi Defense Ministry wrote on Twitter.
Recently, many meetings have been held between US officials and Saudi officials and other Arab countries in the Persian Gulf at the political and military levels, and the Iran case has been one of the most important topics of these meetings.
