Monday, 4 April 2022 (YJC)_ Welcoming the Yemeni fire, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Iran seeks to bring the voice of the Yemeni people to the world.
Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, told Yemen's Al-Masira network that Tehran seeks to reach the voice of the Yemeni people through the United Nations and its partners in the region.
Khatibzadeh stated:
We welcome the ceasefire in Yemen and the provision of space for the complete lifting of the siege and the realization of a political settlement.
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry also told a news conference on Monday that Saudi Arabia had violated the ceasefire in Yemen.
Of course, I have to receive additional reports in this regard. I also saw it scattered in the media and the National Salvation Government has not yet commented or I have not seen it. What is important is Iran's welcome to the ceasefire in Yemen.
He continued:
For months, we have been urging Saudi Arabia and the coalition to stop bombing and blockading. This process must now be completed by lifting the siege, facilitating humanitarian access, and initiating Yemeni-Yemeni talks. Amir Abdullahian's conversation with Guterres was in the same context and we have to wait.
