Monday, 4 April 2022 (YJC)_ At the same time as heavy clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces in the city of Mariupol, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the firing of Ukrainian extremists on the Red Cross convoy.
Russia's Defense Ministry says the Ukrainian side is blocking the entry of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) into the city of Mariupol.
The ministry issued a statement Monday morning saying:
The Russian side will open a new humanitarian corridor in Mariupol tomorrow (Monday) at the request of Turkey.
According to Sputnik, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that so far more than 123,000 civilians have left the city of Mariupol without any assistance from the Kiev regime:
The International Committee of the Red Cross did not enter Mariupol due to a shooting by a Ukrainian.
The statement also said:

On the other hand, the British Ministry of Defense said about the situation in Mariupol:
Heavy fighting broke out in Mariupol as Russian forces attempted to occupy the entire city.
