The US Department of Defense announced this morning (Saturday) that it would provide $ 300 million more in security assistance to Kiev, continuing its military support to Ukraine aimed at undermining Russia's national security.
According to Reuters, the huge security assistance will include laser-guided missile systems, attack drones and satellite imaging equipment.
A Pentagon spokesman, John Kirby, said in a statement:
The announcement marks the beginning of a contract process to provide new military capabilities to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier in the day, US President Joe Biden announced in an interview with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy that $ 500 million had been allocated to the country's public budget.
