Tuesday, 29 March 2022 (YJC)_ The Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group sent 87 foreign terrorists based in Idlib to fight in Ukraine, Sputnik news website reported.
A new group of foreign armed elements, members of the terrorist groups Harasuddin, Ansar al-Tawhid and the Tahrir al-Sham delegation, has left the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib for Ukraine, Sputnik reports.
The news site quoted special sources as saying:
The number of gunmen who left for Ukraine in two groups on Saturday reached 87, most of them Iraqis, Chechens, Tunisians and French.
The sources said that all of these terrorists were members of ISIL before joining the new armed groups and have high combat capability and experience in guerrilla warfare.
The Jabhat al-Nusra al-Sham delegation in Idlib transferred the elements to the city of Sarmada, five kilometers east of the Syrian-Turkish border, last Thursday and Friday, after which they entered Turkey on Saturday to leave for Ukraine.
These sources emphasized:
Jabhat al-Nusra leader Abu Muhammad al-Julani held a series of meetings with leaders of several terrorist groups inside a mosque in central Idlib last week, encouraging them to wage jihad in Ukraine against Russian forces.
Al-Julani promised at the meetings that he would meet the needs of the families of the armed elements sent to Ukraine by the time they return from Ukraine.
