"Saleh al-Arouri," the head of Hamas' political bureau, told Al-Mayadin:
Any Israeli encroachment on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque will escalate tensions.
Today, the occupying regime is facing the test of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and it is time for them to learn that Al-Quds and the holy places and Al-Aqsa Mosque are a red line for us.
He emphasized:
The Zionist regime will open the gates of hell by preventing worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
Regarding the hunger strike of Palestinian prisoners, he said:
The relevant parties have informed us that if Ramadan arrives and the prisoners are still on strike, the situation in the occupied territories will become tense.
"The 11-day battle of Saif al-Quds is the prelude to a long war for which the resistance is ready," he said.
The forthcoming confrontation with the occupying regime to defend Jerusalem will be wider at the official level and the people, and will mark a turning point in the history of the conflict with the occupying regime.
The Hamas official said about the recent anti-Zionist operations in Beer Al-Saba and Al-Khadira in the 1948 occupied territories of Palestine:
These operations show real opposition to the efforts to destroy the existence and identity of Palestine. Our resistance and our fighters from any group are constantly involved with the occupying regime.
Al-Arouri also stressed the normalization of relations between some Arab regimes and Israel:
Every step towards legitimacy, giving to the Israeli regime and cooperating with it is an attack on the Palestinian people and its sanctuaries and the entire nation.
He added:
Unfortunately, Israel has allied itself with some Arab regimes for its own interests, but we reject the proximity of the Arab and Islamic countries to the Israeli regime, whether from Turkey, Qatar or other countries.
The Hamas official announced the existence of continuous and public or non-public meetings of this movement with Hezbollah and said:
There are serious dialogues between the two sides and we have a responsible cooperation with each other. Of course, we cooperate not only with Hezbollah but also with various movements, countries and nations.
He emphasized:
The people should draw more than one line under the recent words of Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, who said that the attack on Quds means a regional war.
