Monday, 28 March 2022 (YJC)_ As the Yemeni war enters its eighth year, dozens of legal organizations have issued joint statements calling for an end to it.
138 legal and civil organizations in a statement calling for an end to the Saudi-Emirati coalition war in Yemen; The war, which has entered its eighth year and left tens of thousands of victims, has spread the circle of poverty and various diseases, and in addition, it has led to the occupation of some parts of Yemen, especially the "Socotra" archipelago.
According to Al-Masira, the statement said:
The hostile war against Yemen is taking place in front of the eyes and ears of the whole world and the silence of the international community and in the preamble of it the United Nations and most of its affiliated organizations and the reason for this silence is the fear of stopping Saudi and UAE financial aid.
According to Yemeni law enforcement agencies, 17,200 people have been killed so far in the war, including 4,000 children and 2,500 women. The number of injured has exceeded 26,900.
Also 579,900 homes, 15 airports, 400 hospitals and medical centers, 16 ports, 680 markets, 500 networks and communication routes, 2,000 government centers, 400 factories, 11,000 commercial centers and 5,000 roads and bridges, 500 mosques, 180 university centers, 250 tourist centers, 500 media centers, 1100 schools, 8,300 agricultural lands, 136 sports centers, 477 livestock, 8,483 vehicles and 476 boats were destroyed in this war.
The statement went on to call on all free people around the world to work for an end to the war in Yemen.
