According to the Israeli media, the culmination of Sego's political presence was in 1992, when he rose to prominence from an anonymous doctor and won eight parliamentary seats through his vice-president, the Tsumit Party.

Another part of the report states:
Sego fell as fast as he climbed the ladder. He was initially sentenced to four years in prison for drug trafficking, and years after his release on charges of spying for Iran, he has to spend 11 years behind bars.
