Russia: We are not interrupting the Vienna talksIn an interview with Russia-24 television, the Russian ambassador to Tehran reiterated that his country was not a factor in halting sanctions talks in Vienna.

In this TV interview, the English translation of which was posted on the website of "Tass" news agency, Jagarian stated:
I want to emphasize once again that, as we have said before, Russia has nothing to do with this interruption.

About 10 days ago, the negotiating parties in Vienna announced that the Vienna talks on Burjam had been suspended and that the negotiating delegations had returned to their capitals for consultations. EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said the talks had been suspended due to "external factors".

Borrell declined to comment on "external factors," but Iran said it had made some new demands on the part of the United States and some measures, such as the seizure of the Iranian tanker, had complicated the negotiations. The Western parties claimed that Russia's request for a guarantee for relations with Iran was delayed.

However, a few days ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, after meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, stated that Russia had received a written guarantee from the United States that cooperation between Moscow and Tehran after The Vienna Agreement will not be subject to sanctions
