Thursday, 17 March 2022 (YJC)_ During a meeting in Beirut, the leaders of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad called for intensified resistance against the Zionist regime.
Ziad al-Nakhala, the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, met with a delegation from Hamas led by Saleh al-Arwi, the movement's deputy chief of staff in Beirut.
According to Palestine Today, the two sides issued a statement emphasizing their opposition to the continued Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the 1948 occupied territories.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad then called for intensifying resistance against the Zionist regime for its daily aggression against the land, sanctuaries and nation of Palestine.
This week alone, three Palestinians were martyred by Israeli forces in Nablus, Qalandiya, and the 1948 Occupied Territories.
The two leading Palestinian movements stressed the resistance of the resistance to its constant readiness to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and to protect the balance of power established by the Battle of Saif al-Quds.
Saif al-Quds took place in May 2021 between the Palestinian resistance and the Zionist regime, during which hundreds of rockets were fired at occupied Palestine.
