Saturday, 12 March 2022 (YJC)_ The US Treasury Department on Friday added a number of Russian individuals and entities linked to North Korea's missile program to its sanctions list.
The United States added two Russian individuals and entities to its sanctions list on Friday, citing its support for North Korea's weapons program.
The sanctions come a day after the Pentagon announced in an intelligence assessment that Pyongyang had tested a continental ballistic missile system in two recent North Korean missile tests.
US Treasury Department spokesman Brian Nilsson said the sanctions targeted a network of Russian personalities and entities that had helped North Korea purchase ballistic missile components.
The North Korean government announced on Thursday morning that it was testing a recent satellite system to monitor the US military.
