Friday, 11 March 2022 (YJC)_ In a conversation with the EU foreign policy chief, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed that the outcome of the Vienna talks is determined by a collective agreement and not a unilateral approach.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, announced on Friday morning that he had made a telephone call to the European Union's foreign policy chief, Joseph Borrell.
Amir-Abdollahian wrote on his Twitter page:
Today I had a useful and constructive conversation with Mr. Joseph Borrell. Efforts are underway to reach a good and lasting agreement. Agreement is available if the American side acts realistically, consistently and consistently.
He also added:
The outcome of the Vienna talks is determined by a collective agreement, not a unilateral approach! Joint effort is needed. It is logic and rationality that must prevail.
Western countries, led by the United States and the Zionist regime, have in recent years accused Iran of pursuing military goals in its nuclear program. Iran has strongly denied these allegations.
Iran emphasizes that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
In addition, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors have visited Iran's nuclear facilities several times, but have never found any evidence that the country's peaceful nuclear energy program is deviating from military purposes.
