An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Energy said:
The Riyadh oil refinery was attacked by a drone on Thursday morning, causing a small fire but came under control.
Condemning the attack, the Saudi official explained:
The attack did not result in any deaths or injuries, and the refinery operation was not affected.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy also announced in a statement:
Terrorist acts against critical facilities destabilize the security and stability of global energy resources.
The Saudi Energy Ministry official did not mention the perpetrators of the drone strike.
A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces recently announced the successful operation of a Yemeni army drone unit against a military target at Abuha Airport in Saudi Arabia.
