Thursday, 10 March 2022 (YJC)_ Russia's representative in the Vienna talks said that the talks have not been finalized yet, not even the text of the final agreement has been finalized yet.
Russia's representative to international organizations based in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, said that nothing had been finalized in the negotiations on lifting sanctions on Iran in Vienna.
"Ulyanov told reporters on Wednesday:
Some try to blame us. I have to tell you that the talks are not finalized yet, not even the text of the final agreement is finalized yet.
He stressed that there is a possibility that the text of the agreement will be finalized on Thursday:
Of course maybe, not definitely! There is still no confirmation or agreement from either party that the text is acceptable.
Reacting to a reporter's insistence on the reason for the delay in the Vienna talks, the Russian diplomat said:
Didn't you hear what I said? I said that the text of the agreement has not even been finalized, so how can our position delay something that has not been negotiated yet ?!
Ulyanov also said that one of the goals of Borjam is to ensure that Iran can maintain its normal economic and trade relations with the world.
On the other hand, White House spokeswoman Jennifer Sacchi says the United States is continuing to work with Russia to revive the Iran nuclear deal and has no plans to link it to sanctions against Moscow over the Ukraine crisis.
