He condemned a deadly explosion that ripped through a Shiite Mosque in Pakistan’s Northwestern city of Peshawar and said “"Necessary strategies should be adopted by the Pakistani government and security officials and they have to take serious measures to prevent criminal activities of terrorists.”
He also noted that “the bomb attack was aimed at sowing discord among Muslims,” while expressing his condolence to the families of the victims and wished immediate recovery for those injured in the attack.
The blast took place as worshippers had gathered in the Kucha Risaldar Mosque in Peshawar’s old city in which at least 56 people were killed and 194 others wounded.
