Wednesday, 2 March 2022 (YJC)_ Russia's envoy to the United Nations said Moscow saw no will in the Ukrainian system to find a legal and balanced solution to the crisis.
Russia's representative to the United Nations, Gennady Gatilov, stressed on Tuesday evening that Western actions against Russia would backfire and be detrimental to the logic of the dialogue.
Gatilov told Al-Mayadin news network:
At the moment, Russia is not sure that talks with the Ukrainian side will lead to the desired result.
He continued:
We approve of diplomatic instruments, but this diplomacy must respect the positions of all countries and be based on equal principles, but unfortunately we do not see that.
"We do not see any will in the Ukrainian system to find a legal and balanced solution to this problem," he concluded.
Contacts between the Ukrainian delegation and Russia have begun and we hope that these contacts will continue in the near future and will be the beginning of a political solution.
