Tuesday, 1 March 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said the UN Security Council resolution issued on Yemen will negatively impact the peace process in the country.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh reacted to UN Security Council resolution issued on Yemen yesterday and said it will negatively impact the peace process in the country.
“The UNSC Resolution issued against Yemen will intensify the positions of parties in the conflict,” Khatibzadeh said and noted that political considerations and lobbying of the aggressor coalition countries has an influence on the resolution which is in the opposition to the existing efforts to bring peace.
The UN Security Council adopted a resolution proposed by the United Arab Emirates, calling for the extension of arms embargo imposed on a number of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement leaders to the entire group.
