Monday, 28 February 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian President said the country is ready to make efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
Addressing a cabinet meeting in Tehran, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raesi announced Iran’s readiness to make efforts to put an end the war in Ukraine.
“Any effort that would lead to peace in Ukraine is in favor of Iran and we are ready to help restore peace in any possible manner, it is in our foreign policy to oppose both hegemony and submission to hegemony, and to give backing to the right to all nations to self-determination,” he said.
Iranian President went on to underline the need to protect territorial integrity and said, “Iran understands security concerns arising from several decades of NATO’s expansionism. We strongly believe that diplomacy by all parties provide the lasting solution out of the current situation.”
