Monday, 28 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Bahraini Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism stressed the country's interest in expanding cooperation with Syria.
Bahrain's Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid al-Zayani met with the country's new ambassador to Syria, Wahid Sayyar.
During the meeting, some issues related to the economic sector and bilateral relations between Bahrain and Syria were discussed. Vahid Sayar has recently been appointed Bahrain's new ambassador to Damascus.
According to the Al-Khaleej Online website, Al-Zayani stressed his country's interest in strengthening economic ties with all countries in the world, and said that Bahrain intends to expand cooperation and coordination with Syria. Last December, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa appointed Vahid Sayar as the country's ambassador to Damascus, the first Bahraini ambassador to Syria since 2011.
