On the fourth day of recent developments in Ukraine, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kiev issued a statement advising Iranians living in Ukraine who are moving to or crossing the western border.
The announcement states:
Iranians communicate with each other along the way to the border points of Ukraine. As much as possible, move in groups of people and use each other's information along the way. Pay attention to the weather on the roads and rest in suitable places, especially in the dark of night.
The Iranian Embassy in Kiev has advised Iranian compatriots to share their route information with Iranian embassies and social networks of Iranians living in Ukraine and to enter another country (Poland, Slovakia) as soon as they cross any border point in Ukraine. Inform the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hungary, Romania or Moldova [Accreditation of Austria], Hungary and Moldova and move in the directions specified by the same embassy.
